What’s New

External vault integrations for Postman Shared Vault

Available on Enterprise plans with the Advanced Security Administration add-on You can now integrate Postman Shared Vault to Azure Key Vault or HashiCorp Vault, so linked keys read their values from secrets your team already stores there. Because these secrets can resolve in the Postman Cloud, your team can use them in automated runs like monitors, scheduled collection runs, and CI/CD. Postman stores only a reference, never the value. To learn more, see Integrate Postman Shared Vault with external vaults.

Simulate the services your app depends on with Postman Simulator

With Postman Simulator, you can group mocks of the services your app depends on into a single simulation and run them together. Mock the ones you want to control and leave the rest real. Apply behaviors like delays and errors to see how your app responds. Run a simulation in the Postman app, from the Postman CLI, in CI, or with a coding agent. Running simulations on your machine is available on all plans. Deploying one to the Postman Cloud requires a Solo, Team, or Enterprise plan. To learn more, see Simulate API conditions with Postman Simulator.

Improvements

Share secrets across your team with Postman Shared Vault

Available on Solo, Team, and Enterprise plans Each secret in a workspace’s shared vault now has an access scope that controls who can use it. Share a secret with everyone in a workspace by default, specific teammates, or your entire organization. Users who need access to a secret can request it from the owner or Security Manager. To learn more, see Create and manage vault secrets in Postman Vault.

Secure variables now use Postman Vault

When you secure a variable, Postman stores its value as a secret in your Postman Local Vault or Postman Shared Vault, and the variable references it. Where the value goes depends on your workspace’s Local Secret Protection policy. To learn more, see Secure a variable value.

Local Secret Protection secures secrets automatically

When Local Secret Protection detects a secret, Postman now automatically moves it to Postman Vault. On Free plans, Postman moves the secret to your Postman Local Vault. On Solo, Team, and Enterprise plans, Postman moves it to your workspace’s Postman Shared Vault. If you’d rather not secure a detected secret, you can store the value in plain text instead. On Enterprise plans, Team Admins can configure how detected secrets are handled per workspace type. To learn more, see Local Secret Protection.
